Starting off newbies will help all of us. Everybody is saying "This is for the newbies" so giving them something to use when they start is very helpful.
Just because they have been suggested already doesn't mean they don't work. Resetting the 2 worlds will get rid of random player shit to clean up the server a bit. 9 is VERY helpful and has nothing to do with 8 and 10, so I don't know why you don't consider what I've said here.

EDIT: I'd like Nidefawl to take a look at my ideas. Could someone let him know? I want his feedback on what I've said here.

I voted NO.

This is because I cannot see any reason behind a total reset. Some thoughts follow.



I have invested a whole lot of time building structures, art, infrastructure etc.
I have accumulated items, especially gold to fulfil my dream of building a legit CITY OF GOLD. I would find it cruel if every single thing I have achieved during my extensive stay at Craftland would be demolished.
It is true that I too gained a lot from the loose control over MONEY. I got used to buying stuff from the shop if I couldn't be arsed to mine it, farm it or harvest it from the corpses of pigs. BUT, at the time, it was not against any rules. The system just got out of hand as the server gained popularity. There was a money reset already, and the system, I believe, is being fixed, if it has not already. I haven't had a computer capable of running Minecraft for some time so I've a lot of catching up to do.

Anyway: I was not guilty, therefore I should not be punished.

The money, if it's the problem, should go. Minecrafters can trade just fine swapping items. OR using the 'official' Minecraft currency, Emeralds. They're so rare inflation would be out of the question.

I've spent time with Nide and VepaS in the past and present day seeing stuff 'behind the scenes'. I am aware that the explored areas of the maps are vast, and supposedly the number of chunks being loaded by the server (etc. or something in that direction, I am not the codemaster2000 I do not know the exact terms and stuff so forgive me that much....) is too damn high. My muggle understanding is that this stresses the server, somehow. I still find the thought of erasing all progress thru all maps horrifying. There must be another solution!

SPAWNERS, that's another point that comes to mind. I've also understood that an overload of entities(, especially in one place) can cause problems, server instability etc. Well, why not restrict how much players can use spawners! Make it 1-3 active spawners at a time per player, and re-establish a bigger no-other-spawners-here-if-you-want-this-spawner-to-work-zones (somehow :D) and e voila- no more mob overflow. To some extent. This would also reduce the amount of mob drops being created, once again aiding the healing of the economy, should one wish to upkeep one.

Also, I hope no one here thinks that the fact another player has 64 stacks of 64 diamond blocks means that they lose something. This is not the case. Prosperity through perseverance. Keep it in mind.

I suppose the guy who started this thread miiiight be someone pretty close to maxing out every single thing about the game :D so in a way i feel you bro. But I'm still voting NO.

I'm done here. The only way this server will get any better is when everyone stops caring about their own selfish interests. You all say we will lose a lot of players, yet we've lost and continue to lose so many more. All of my friends I knew that played craftland have quit. Main reasons: Boring, No Competition, No Economy

If implemented, these wouldn't persuade the economy much.
People have so much wealth reserved that the server is basically pinned to an ultimatum of reset = fix, no reset = stay broken. Now you come off as self centered by only caring about what affects you.

There are also little things, like the amount of warps players have, that devalue what a survival server is. As I said before, the whole configurations need to be reworked. Added with the diluted terrain the worlds have, and how much is missing... people having so many diamonds in reserve, ect. it leaves a stain that says wealth needs to be removed, while chunk errors, mcmmo and enchant abused terrain says worlds should be reset.
