The block grid isnt just you.
The block grid shows regions. I've actually been trying to figure out how to turn it ON.

Actually, the "show regions" box often doesn't work for me. I use it so much I actually have it bound to a key, but it often doesn't work :/

Show regions could have a few problems with really large regions.
Or it takes a little time to show

Set is as key (at controls), which is easiest to also remove again.
Or check U-menu at settings, general settings, there is a checkbox for "show regions"

Nope. Thats a different grid.
The way shaders work often leaves very thin pink lines between every rendered block.

Thats sounds like a different problem, maybe you enabled antialiasing somewhere in your driver settings. I found that only some nVidia cards were able to do artifact free antialiasing with the current texture offset rendering.

For shaders: They depend a lot on your drivers and hardware. I did not take much time tweaking or testing them yet.
When I find time I will fix bugs on the SonicEther shaders only and remove all the other ones.
