Min 30 day ban max 90 day ban. Thanks.
You act like banning such words seems like it is a breach of Freedom of speech and its not.

Maybe you should educate yourself on it before going on TS saying that your freedom of speech is being violated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Freedom of speech and expression are not absolute, and common limitations to freedom of speech relate to libel, slander, obscenity, pornography, sedition, incitement, fighting words, classified information, copyright violation, trade secrets, non-disclosure agreements, the right to privacy, the right to be forgotten, public security, and perjury.
I'm sticking to the fact that the word ''and'' really triggers me.
They call me the defuse kit cuz I last 5 seconds.

Eyy baby, want to inspect my case hardened? ;)

I don't think the word is the problem though. In some situations where there is a civilized discussion occurring and the use of some taboo words justifiable, assuming that the use word is not targeted to offend someone or make them feel uncomfortable.
Example: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/vid ... aron-audio" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What I'm gathering from all the complaints is that people on teamspeak are trying to be hurtful, demeaning and annoying to other users. Even if there were no defined rules on teamspeak, common sense still applies. If a staff member asks you not do to something and you continue doing it, that is worthy of a ban.

I try to avoid creating a banned word list whenever possible. It is often exploited by some smartass who finds a word we forgot to put on the list and complains when he is punished. When I tend to aim for when writing rules is to focus on the context of the situation.

As an immediate solution I will just say that the "chat rules" found on the Craftland website will apply to teamspeak. If it's needed I can talk to the other staff members and customize the rules for teamspeak but I think in their current form they will address the main concerns.

Don't mean to rain on your parade by pointing out this flaw. What if a bunch of people false complain about someone enough times it gets the user banned, there is no proof that he did or did not do it and that would be extremely unfair on them.

Proof? I mean, 90% of the time there is a staff member in the channel that just doesn't care. Since the complaint feature on TS is not used anyways, how about give helpers the power to file complaints only and after a few it does temp bans; like warns in game.

Is also both ways. If someone gets banned, and starts complaining that they didn't do anything wrong, we don't have proof to back it up.

But for now with rules I put in teamspeak should suffice, I can reevaluate it latter if they need to be changed.

Require staff to have shadowplay or whatever. When they hear an infraction, they click their button to record last 10 mind or whatever.

edit: There is a lot of places out there where "having multiple complaints" can get you in trouble.
No proof = people getting banned for stuff they didn't do.

That's BS because I'm pretty damn sure I haven't gotten banned for something I didn't do and there hasn't been any false accusation by multiple people to get someone banned. It'll never happen.

edit: Besides, we already know who the worst offenders are and its highly unlikely for a new person on TS to get banned right away without a staff having a private conversation with them and getting to know them a bit more.

It happens all the time, people always make stuff up just to get someone banned they don't like. That's why we always get proof ingame before banning someone.

If we didn't have proof then there would be nothing stopping me from banning you right now. Proof provides accountability for the staff and makes sure that only legitimate offences are banned.

I do understand your point though about already knowing the worst offenders. If we were to just say that they did something that seems in character for them no one would bat an eye.
