Re: Aercloud
I'm not a fan of favoritism. Blackjack knows as well as I do that zarvon x-rayed and no action was taken against him other than a slap on the wrist.TheAmazingAdam wrote:Here's a story: before I even became a citizen, I found a glitched, unregioned silver dungeon that I could mine the pillars off; I told handyman about this dungeon, and that i had mined them in case someone else got to them and didn't tell handy, handy said I could keep the pillars (with nide's permission I believe). Months later, vepas found the pillars in my chest, I explained to him what had happened, how handy said I could keep them, Vepas took away all my pillars, I found more in older chests, I gave them to him.
I do have to admit, after he took the pillars, he questioned how I had plasma clouds and seemed to be wanting to confiscate those also, I told him that I got some from the shop when there were 8000, and I traded blobbosezhi2 for a lot of wood. He said I was lying about buying them from the shop, I did get mad at him. I APOLOGIZED WITHIN 30 MINUTES.
When you get unobtainable items through illegitimate ways, when an admin takes those items, you don't rage at them and lie saying I put a sign that said he's greedy as shit. You give the items back. You did it to me with the pillars, I know if I tossed around 10 stacks of plasma clouds -- insulted and lied about you -- when I was a player, adding on "screw off and ban me already", the remark you'd put on my reason for permaban would probably make someone cry.
I mean jesus, when I told you blob gave me plasma clouds for stacks and stacks of pine logs, you couldn't even comprehend why he'd ever do that. "Why the fuck would blob do that..."
Already consulted nide and blackjack, agreeing that it is a two week tempban. not every single thing will go your way...

Re: Aercloud
VepaS, you really think I would take this much time in doing this if I didn't like Zarvon, too? That I would be personally offended, and angry at him if I thought he meant nothing? I'm mad because of his poor choices, breaking rules, and disrespect; I'd always expect so much more from Zarvon, of all people.__Blackjack__ wrote:Alright. Final decision. I propose a two week temp. Hear me out. I must conclude that Zarvon needs to be punished for hacking. Whether he actually hacked or not, the evidence is heavily against him. While I want to say that "Zarvon wasn't hacking" I have no other support for that claim besides his word. Knowing that won't stand up in this argument, I wont bother saying it. But, minor Xray hacking= a temp ban, I thought. So, that's a little while onto his "Vacation."
The second rule he broke, imo, was the whole be respectful thing. While he didn't actually know they were griefed at first, he should have just handed them over to Cyn when she asked. After this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ argument ensued, he's banned, and with reason. But, nonetheless, it wasn't just because he happened to have purple aercloud that he bought fairly. I don't think that he should be fully banned for trying to defend his wealth.
Sometimes, no matter how much you like a player, they will x-ray, break other rules. Please just be considerate of one of my decisions for once.

Re: Aercloud
As i just came into this discussion (ask by Zarvon himself by steam).
I have had this kind of situations multiple times.
You had blocks you didn't may had have, you could have these in a few ways:
1. Griefing, which is bannable;
2. Buying from someone who griefed it, you should ask how he got them and turned him in;
3. Get it from a admin, in which case you should had keeping it for yourself.
I have seen a few players which get some items from nide, but they only used them for building, not giving away or selling, which is not the meaning of why they have them.
Giving away items to newbies will only make them fight or stealing from each other, this is one of the reasons why you shouldn't do it.
X-raying is a serious thing, which haves costs serveral players a perm-ban.
In this case I wouldn't see any reason why not.
As much as you may have done for the server, you still broke the rules and cause trouble with that "give away" rage, so in my opinion you deserved a perm-ban
For VepaS:
I know you love Zarvon, but this isn't a reason to support someone.

1. Handy is right and I 100% agree with (only) him
2. Don't ban/tempban forum accounts if they are not spammers or get offending, this may break the whole website-login for players

Re: Aercloud
But I wasn't xraying; it was only suspicion and I was NOT hacking, and I never intended to 'break' the economy by giving items away.
EDIT: I thought it was a permban. I'll just wait out the 2 weeks then.

Re: Aercloud
cynthia is right, you were greedy and she did tell you multiple times that you cant get more unobtainable items, but you kept insisting that you get more. Also cynthia told you not give them to new players to avoid confusion as to how you obtained them, but you started giving the unobtainable blocks out for free (or small costs) anyways after you "thought"/knew you were going to be banned.st because you have helped others and such does not put you above the law. And tunnels straight to diamonds consistently, what other explanation is there other than x-ray?
Other players are permbanned for x-ray, why should you be treated in a different manner? If you like this server so much and stuff, pay the 5 EUR unban fee.
bye!
