Hardcore Mining Realm Overview?

Hello! I've been a new player for a few days now and have been enjoying myself a lot on the server. I really like how great the GUI is and how each of the worlds work together. I think my favorite thing is how smooth everything runs. I don't think I have had higher FPS on any other servers and I've been totally lag free since I started.

Anyway, enough about that stuff. One of the things that I've noticed that is lacking is an explanation of a lot of the customizations that the server has to offer. For example, I wanted to check out the hardcore mining world for the first time today and I found it to be interesting that it seems to bring together every realm that the server has to offer (at least from what i've seen). Yet, I found myself asking a lot of questions that I can't seem to find the answers to anywhere else such as.

1. Where can the keys be found? Are they in regular vanilla-like dungeons, or are their other custom dungeons I should be looking for?
2. What are all the features of this world?
3. What are the spawn rates for ores and where can certain ores such as diamonds be found the most (I found myself finding diamonds at around y120 and I haven't found any on the lower levels so far.
4. What does the hardcore mining realm have to offer that the other realms do not other than a ridiculously tall landscape that ties the worlds together?

It's questions like these that I'd like to be answered, and maybe any other useful information that would be pertinent in order to be successful in this particular realm. I think a guide for new players giving a general overview of all the worlds and the server features would be a great idea, as I noticed this seems to be lacking in the forums. I was very confused when I first started playing and it has taken quite a few hours to figure out a lot of things on my own, and asking a lot of questions. My main concern is that some new players could become confused easily with such an abundance of features with little guidance other than helpful members. I'd hate for something like this to run off new players. If some experienced members and staff would work on a guide together so it could be linked to new players who are struggling with certain server-specific concepts it would prevent running new players away. These are just my opinions though and should only be taken as such.

Anyway, overall i'm enjoying myself very much on CraftLand and look forward to learning more about what I can do and all the ways I can improve my character. Thanks for being awesome, everyone!

A lot of the features in game are are on the wiki, in game you can type /wiki <query> and it will search for the wiki arrival about it. I don't think there is one for hardcore mining world yet.

Don't know if you still need this, but as future reference for other new players with same questions:

1. The keys can be found in the 4 different kinds of aether dungeons (those made of shadow/hellfire/angelic/carved stone), afaik they cant be found in the vanilla dungeons(those with moss floor). The red spawners in aether dungeons cant be picked up, and dangerous mobs tend to spawn when/if the walls of these dungeons are destroyed. The crates near spawn can contain really OP things.

2. Mining world has no deathchests, no pvp and no access to /return, if you were to die. The map will still show the deathcrosses though. It's smart to gain a high acrobatics skill, get a feather of falling or just watch carefully where you step when walking around in the mining world as players often leave deep holes in the ground. There are dangerous mobs in the world, they get stronger further away from spawn reaching up to lvl 10 area.
Mining world resets each 2-4 weeks(depends) and most of the dungeons are looted the following days. Biomes tend to be squareshaped and are pretty custom, with all the looks from other worlds like greycliff, aether and overworld. World is roundshaped and the border is set out in the ocean, risk of suffocating in walls if you swim out there.
No warps can be created in the mining world and to be able to teleport to a player in the mining world they must be in your party. Other players can steal the stuff you leave on the ground and explosions do block damage.
Sometimes an openworld event "Goldrush" occurs in mining world, where players gain points by finding and mining ore during the time duration. All players get 100 coins per point they gathered and the winner have the chance to win awesome prices, like perfect diamonds and goldrush hats.

4. The mining world offers a high risk high reward adventure for more equipped players, with a higher risk of dying its also filled with a lot more of treasures.

Thanks for this information. It does provide an answer to several of my questions. One additional question about the aether dungeons in the Hardcore Mining realm: Are the dungeons only found in the Aether biomes?

As a person who craves knowledge I'm always trying to discover everything I can. I think that's why I like custom and/or modded minecraft servers so much as there is so much to delve into and explore. Anyway, I guess what really needs to happen is the wiki needs to be expanded to include more information about Greycliff and the Hardcore Mining World so it will be easier for new players to answer questions for themselves. I'm looking forward to seeing the wiki grow to include more information.

What I think I could use at this point is an experienced mentor who has a plethora of CraftLand experience. Any takers?
