Decorative Block Poll
Today Pig001 and myself were talking about the possibility of a potters wheel. This would use Clay and Water to create different types of decorative blocks for players to use for decoration. The only questions we had though were the following.
What Decorative Blocks could the potters wheel make for us?
Would it be worth adding for the players? like would they use this?
So before we do anything we would like to see if you guys would be interested in something like this.
Some ideas we had for decorative blocks were like: Urns, Larger Flower Pots, Vases, Statues of different mob models (including player), ect.
Now What are some of your ideas for recipes / decorative blocks with this and what are you feelings towards this.

My only thoughts on this are, how is a statue made on a pottery wheel? Other than that, I'd love to be able to have my statue in front of my building, and this would also be an alternative for players who can get an NPC. I'm for it.
You know who I am.

some ideas on item models:
Water Basin
Brazier (similar to water basin but contains coals and emits a medium light level)
Busts (Esp. Testificate)
Full Statues
Gravestones
Urns/Vases
Statuettes (1 block tall)
Sword Holders (a small slot that can be attatched to a wall or floor and can hold 1 sword facing upwards)
and perhaps the ability to insert dye into some recipes to color some of the items as if they'd been glazed ^.^

For statues and carving, you could add a pickaxe to an Uncarved (insert statue type) Statue item on a crafting table. This could create the statue and take away some durability from the pickaxe.

Honestly, I think a Pottery Wheel would be really cool! Maybe you could make Pots that hold liquid, and others that store items. And maybe even use some Pots for upgrading the Infusion Altar! You should be able to carve different designs into them, having one selected before you start.
To make the pot, you would need to right-click the wheel to make it spin, and the pot will slowly take shape. Then you would need to make a Firing Oven that would fire the pot and make it solid, then in which it can be used. You could make a forgery!
The Spinning Wheel could be made with Wood, Redstone, Iron, and a Stone Slab. Or something of that nature! Perhaps a Plate that you make with Nether Quartz, which could also be placed and you can put items on? Perhaps you could even have clay Bowls that you can fill with wood, and light to make it burn like a Torch.
I would really like this idea to be added as something, the idea of making pottery just seems really cool! I fully support it!

The ability to make paintings in game would be cool (like the default mc paintings, except you can create whatever design you want).
Bedroom furniture, tables, books, maybe even rotating blocks for windmills and such. The rotation could turn the blocks rotating into an entity like a boat.
Desks would look cool.

Maybe you could also fill an Urn with Ash for something. Or a little clay thing that holds a single item. Either way, using clay to work with some more things be really cool.

indeed, perhaps filling an urn with ash, soulsand, dirt, or other items near an infusement altar could turn said items into altar-enhancing items, or items required in future altar recipes.
