Banana: Nah. No one will ever recognize each plate as a continent. Going by plates fucks with people's minds even more. You can live in Russia, or Japan, but, be in the "North American" plate.

If you go by the scientific definition, you're wrong.
If you go by the common definition (large land mass separated by water) you're also wrong.

As forementioned, Antarctica is an archipelago (a series of island), and the largest island of the Antarctic islands is smaller than Australia, so, that can't be a continent right off the bat.

People like to separate the Americas and Afro-Eurasia into separate continents because of cultural differences (ie not grouping crazy vodka drinkers with the baguettes), but, that has /nothing/ to do with continents, no matter how you look at it.
