(and for anyone wondering, no, we dont all do this, nor do all Scottish people wear kilts. Less than 0.001% of Scottish people wear a kilt on a daily basis, and the log throwing event is at a festival which only a couple of hundred take part. I seem to need to clarify this to any person who doesnt know anything about Scotland.)
