PigBot V2.0

Post by pig001 » Wed Jan 15, 2014 5:37 pm

Hey

So lately I've been working on a bot, but not a irc bot(Good ol' PigBot :3)

There's a pre-written base steam bot using C# written by jessecar96 which has all the implementation for trading and things on steam. But it does not come with a pre-made userhandler(The userhandler is the file that makes the bot actually do things, like add things to the trade, understand commands etc.). Ive been working pretty hard to make my own, working and all round good userhandler set up.

At the moment, the bot can:
-ScrapBank
-Buy keys
-Sell normal weapons

What Id like to implement is:
-A website to show what the bot has in its inventory, and also be linked with steam so users can log in and click a "trade" button to get a bot to trade with them.

-Add a config file or link to a website that lists items that it can buy, how much it costs and how much of each item it has. This can be seen by normal users but edited by me so that I can add any items, without editing the bots code that I want it to buy or sell.

-Buying and selling hats

If someone knows how to set up a website that would allow me to do this, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

In time, once everything is working, I may post the file that controls everything, so other people can use it also, but for now Id like to finish it.

I will post updates on here, showing what I've implemented or fixed.

If anyone wants to test the bot(when it is online, which is usually never) then feel free to message me in-game or on the forums for the username of the bot.

N.B. I do not want to be the next scrap.tf or anything, I just want to experiment with coding and different files/uses for this code.

What will you be using as your version control? And would you be able to add me to the repository?

I have set up a git repository for the bot. It uses steambot as the base(As i said, written by jessecar96) and uses a little code for the buying weapons part from the scrapbank.me bot. I will send you a link to the repository nick.
