Funny how I was playing it this morning, but I only have the iOS version so I can't play the huge update (1.2) they just released :(

People always compare it to minecraft, and they shouldn't.

Minecraft is about adventuring and building, but the building aspect is definitely stronger.

Terraria is the opposite. Building is my least favorite part of terraria, my houses are always ugly apartment buildings for NPCs, and it's just a pain in the ass in general.

The adventuring on the other hand, is really really good. Crushes minecraft by far, in the adventure dept.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, some people just abuse the privilege.

That's what I try to tell people who compare. Terraria is about spelunking deep caves, drinking magical potions and shooting huge stars at epic bosses :D but some of the houses you see in terraria are actuall pretty sick.
