This is nothing new, it has happened a lot times before.
This mostly happens when you try to warp to somewhere in the nether

Step1: Stand right under the bedrock wall.
Step2: Logoff.
Step3: Other person places blocks where you were.
Step4: Login.
Step5: Top of the nether.
