Can't connect

I just don't see why it would fail to run only when connecting to the server.

Java 7 didn't help any except the news tab actually showed something.

Which Linux distro are you using? Do you have the Intel graphics drivers installed instead of the generic drivers? Also, try just allocating only 1 GB of memory.

So you disabled the framebuffer option in the launcher and it still doesn't run?

Does vanilla run on the same system?

Whenever it crashes, does it create a hs_err_pid*.log files? (try to find them)

I pretty sure the video drivers are the problem. Intel is known for buggy OpenGL drivers (on all operating systems)

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I did disable framebuffer and vanilla and any mods including Aether 2 run on this system, the program just gets killed when connecting to the server. I searched everywhere for the log file and I can't find it, I even did a system search to see if it would come up with anything and it proved that the file wasn't generated.

I installed the intel software for my drivers, updated, and restarted. I have been able to connect to other Aether 2 servers If I have the mod installed myself but with this launcher it just won't let me connect to your server. Will it maybe work if I connect through your IP? If so what is the IP?

The server is craftland.org but you need the launcher is needed and has crutial tweeks to the client. You can't log in without it

Our server doesn't use Aether 2 yet. Did you install the Aether 1.9 mod from our download page?

Yes I installed the Aether 1.9 mod. I have even played Aether 1.9 myself on this system and it ran fine.

Hmmm, as Nide said, try to see if you can locate any hs_err_pid*.log files. In my experience, these are usually found in your Home folder. You could also check /var/log. If you find any, copy and paste the output of one of them here.

EDIT: I have Ubuntu on one of my home office computers. Give me a little time to install the launcher and I'll see if I run into the same problem. I'll post back whether I have the same problem or not.
