We kick players on the server if they spam caps, and if they keep doing it, they're temp banned.

I said one sentence with two words, my friend said four words, and was being sarcastic. Neither of us "spammed" caps. It's almost like capital letters are treated like swastikas, in the sense that there's enough ignorance to think of them as if all it represents is the negative association this symbol has had, so when you see it, you banish it without a glance. While on the other hand though, the swastika has been used by multiple cultures, and that, when looked upon correctly, the symbol literally means "to be good". Food for thought.

These are capital letters. Not swastikas.
We are condemning bad use of language and irritant behavior, not the Jewish Community at the end of the street.

If we're not consistent about enforcing it, then we'll get crap for when we do.
I kick people if they say messages containing more than 2 words in full caps.
I tempban them if they do it repeatedly after I asked them to stop.


It's my opinion that there was an obvious reason for this ban, but it was handled poorly.

I know I have no reason on this thread, but I think that Napoleon has a point. Caps is a very annoying rule, and some mods, if
having a bad day or just feel like it, can over react to it. Many times I was threatened by "some" people for making a joke or just saying "Hi." I do not want said people to have there title/powers revoked, I want that rule revoked OR some leniency on this rule
say 10 words at least.. If you counted every time someone started a sentence with caps it would be a ban. On everyone. So why would repeated caps add up to a ban?

I agree with parts of this , I was temp banned for having a problem with a group of children, luckly a few of them have been caught for theire wrong doing since then , but vertti banned for for the reason "retard" and nide temp banned me for the reason "idiot" I get nide but the ban reasons really arnt helpful at all and not even really a reason. I think something should change, like maybe going back over your admins do a little bit investigating wich admins/mods are really mature and wich ones arnt and the ones that arnt remove them from theyre duties and make them normal players as should be.

Personally, I'm not all that fond of the no caps rule - but given that it's in place, spamming two words in all caps IS spamming.

And posting a complaint in the problems section about a 15 minute ban and a few comments from a mod when you got arrogant?
