I have another long story, where I forcefully got Katie and my friend Josh to go caving with me. No, this isn't a spin-off of Pat's story, this actually happened.
So, we were all pretty geared up, with climbing equipment and headlamps and all that. We were looking for semi-precious stones and some nice scenery, as Katie had brought a camera. We found some orange tone that glowed when the water hit it, but that wasn't the best part.
We reached a solid wall, and Josh was quite ready to leave. Katie, for some twisted reason, was getting a lot of enjoyment from Josh's worrying, and she looked up at the ceiling of the tunnel we had gone in to find it partially hollowed, going about 60 meters up. So, of course, she did something completely unexpected: She grabbed the climbing hooks from my bag, took out a pickaxe, and smashed it into the side of the wall, hammering in climbing nails along the way, until she reached the top and threaded a cable in through the hooks so we could ascend. I pulled out the tools and latched on to the cable, climbing all the way up until I was out of breath. We had all turned off our lights as soon as the cable was prepared and I was latched so we would save battery, so there was this one scary part about midway where it was pitch black, and you couldn't see anything below you or above you.
I make it to the top, completely out of breath, and yell down that its clear. Katie, being a huge demontroll to Josh, says he should go first, and I'm trying not to laugh. But, midway, the pressure foot latch wheel and stopper just...fell out of the equipment, and he came flying back down. I pressed he handbreak for the tool and heard him wheezing and puffing, terrified out of his mind, while Katie was laughing like a maniac. Eventually we all made it to the top and walked around for another 2 hours before realizing we had no idea where we were, and we had to walk around for another 3 hours tying to find the drop again, and Josh couldn't come back down it, he was too scared. He was latched and ready but he was scared, so Katie pushed him and he came back down scared and cursing at Katie while she laughed again. We eventually made it out again and had to climb back up, and since Josh's equipment had cracked, we had to lend him the pickaxe so he could get up manually.
It was all quite terrifying, though exhilarating.

You know whats great about finals? You learn a shitload of info in a short amount of time. I just spent the past 20 minutes memorizing the latin endings table, and just for the lolz, I'm going to post some of it.

A different time i had gone caving i was with this group of people i had not meet before the trip and their was this one really creepy girl... At one point we got to the very back of the cave and all turn off our lights because someone wanted to see how dark it really got. Now while the lights where off this girl decides to take some scary jason mask out of her bag, climb down 50 feet and wait for us when we are coming back. I am the first person in line leading everyone back and this girl pops out of nothing and scares the me half to death, I actually almost attacked her i was so scared.

I guess the moral of the story is... If you go caving with a girl, You are gonna have a bad time.
