I was using an Efficiency IV pickaxe because its the only thing I can really afford. There is no way for new players like me to get higher quality items when older players are competing against you.
But from frosts perspective it's the very opposite, he spend a lot of time and money levelling up his skills and items, it's not like he logged on and got those items for free, he worked for the items and should have some form of reward. When the system is equalized you lose incentive to work (don't believe me look at the ussr and how equality worked for them)

I agree with Nick, it´s the way how you play your game. If you spend your game on skilling, building, joking, etc. it makes a big difference in the craftland community. It could work somehow better with those guild things that newly came around. Maybe people can just get more out of the game if they team up. Of course it would be nice sometimes to beat others up for intervening in a certain aspect of high interest. I don´t know if this is still on your mind Nick but is the towny/guild whatsoever thing still a thing or did Nide even metion something about the quest system he wanted so that many quests can be solved next to goldrush and monsterhunt. He wanted to add a thing where the server hosts random quests like for example the first deliverung 300 carrots gets a block of diamond or something like that. He wanted to have it for specific monster kills aswell to although encourage all kinds of gameplay attractive. It is propably not on the table with the new world plannings and the lots of work with that but maybe you can say something how you would see things like that work and if it is still a feature to be planned.

Thanks for the good work anyways!

i like this idea. and i dont want to come and take over/ change it. but what about that ones a week fair day starts. now fair day is that one time the boss is in fair day mode. meaning that everyone deal the same amount of damage. and the mining world will get one fair day were one goldrush everyone will have the same mining speed. and all this should happen ones a week
Just think of this that if a burito that can talk it would be sasy~arbr 2015

Fair day Bosses could be 3 in one Fair day:

- One In Morning.

- One in After Noon.

- One in Late at night.

And one Fair Gold rush?

Egalitarianism does not work, in society or in video games. If you don't believe me look up the fall of communism, Harrison Bergeron (short story), etc. There are tones of examples in society why this wont work thats why its not going to get added. When you create total equality it doesn't help the weak, it just hurts everyone.

I agree with Nick. Athough stopping server wide hunger is nice, Communism isn't. Capitolism is the way to go for this server, and I will protect my Capitolist Rights on this server. Long time players would be cheated out of their imaginary money.Maybe a once a year thing, but I am not a fan of Communism, no matter how small a degree of it it is.

Whatever. Who cares about getting the best items in the game. Its not like PVP or PVE is interesting in craftland anyways. We spent most of our times crafting and building stuff by which minecraft and other server/modservers offer the same thing.

Craftland doesn't seem to care about introducing or allowing new players to experience competitions (or other activities) made by the big guys. I might as well just mind my own business and be called a "peasant" like every other noob in the game. Who knows whether or not they are willing to stick around like I am.

I was a noob, like you. I was a noob in a grand world of non-noobs. After a while, I became more powerful. In those noob years, do what I did. Make frineds, make alies. Make clans, make them large. Become the person who other players rally behind. You don't need to be rich on the server. Infact, I made most of my friends here when I was a new player. Trust me, it makes the server a great place, not just for you, but for everyone. It makes it easier for the players who rally behind you, and a triumph for one, becomes a triumph for all. Or alteast, thats how I did it. Now, because of my friends, I have brought them up with me. Do that, it will solve that issue atleast. There will be struggles, but making the players who earned their perks give them up, so you can take a short cut is not the CL way. Even a mid-level squeeker like me understands that concept.

Why not just reduce the drops that are given on this fair day? Instead of the OP End game item drops Everyone gets Diamond and Gravitite pieces of gear and if you are top in score you get low enchanted Cursed blades, Enchanted Valk tools, maybe 64 diamonds as a really rare drop and a chance of a Spectral Sword as the rarest drop? That could fix the new players getting riches too fast. So new players will be rewarded a bit of gear quicker than mining it to start off.

If you're a noob, then you can work your way up to get much better items like all the current pros have done. Harrison Bergeron was in my English curriculum and was one of my favorite works. Anyway, I basically abhor an idea of having everyone be the same by force because that is not the way this game works. You work hard and you get better stuff so you can become better. That is the point of this game.

I'm not obligated to make friends or allies or make clans. If that is what Craftland is about, then they would of have mentioned it. The server is a great place and that's why i'm not going anywhere. I do not want to leave because I like the people here.

Anyways, there is no harm in fair day. Who cares!!! Like literally!!! Who cares if some noob gets the best gear? Seriously? There is no legitimate reason why NOT to have a fair day. Why do people care about other people progressing? Ohh I forgot, its because the world already does that.
