Afk Machine

I just have 1 question/problem. Why are AFK machines forbidden? I think it isn't cheating because if you make it, you need to think it all out. I worked hard on my arcobatics training machine. It has gone through many diffrent stages. At first it with a lot of redstone and pistons, but it didn't work well so i redisigned it and made it work with water. So it worked great and i was proud of it! It took my a week to make it, thinking about how to make it better, searching resources and so on... If you want to do spend 500hours in an afk machine, why not? You don't "cheat" ranks because you invented it by yourself.
And if you get a higher ranking because of an afk machine, what does it matter? That 5 new warps won't do much..

Afk machines aren't clever. They require wooden stairs and some water. Besides, I've actually PLAYED for 7 days, and I don't really think it's fair that newbies who leave ther computers on can get better ranks than me.

At 4:08, I'm marked as AFK and Blackjack has been for a while.
Yet we've been fighting in a dungeon for four minutes.

I'm pretty sure now that chat is what makes afk/not afk.

AFK machines are forbidden. They create an unfair advantage, as normal ranks are given to you by time played. Using them will result in ban.

Okay. Blackjack and I have express permission from Vepas to use one on our grinder. He built a large obsidian case around it, though, and regioned it so only people allowed to the region can use it. We also promised not to use it just for time; I'm always chatting while using it. (Look at the chat logs; I talk a lot XD)

This is part of the reason why it's really really not cool to set warps on our grinders; we've often had to ask permission from admins to build them, and I wouldn't want you to get banned just because you're illegally trespassing.

He's not talking about a grinder. Those seem to be the only thing you think about. He's talking about using methods that prevent you from going AFK, methods that will get you 24 hours play time in 24 hours of being pushed by water,ect.

Our machine could theoretically do that, though. It's just necessary to keep all 16 spawners active (by going in a circle) without constantly running around looking completely ridiculous.

But yeah, I don't think you go afk while on our machine.
