The rainbow torch is the clone from ProjectE´s interdiction torch.

It is a very powerful torch and helps players all over their bases. It would have lots of use to everybody and i assume it would widely be used. It is expensive on the first view but the effect is very interesting and that makes securing bases very easy. That way even creeperdamage could make it back in game.

Brainstorming Arbr, Hotty & Soul

Instead of Rainbowjewel we use nine diff. particle torches bound together to make one rainbowtorch:

particle torches:

gem + glowstone + blazerod = particle torch

Sapphire = snowparticles
Ruby = fireparticles
Regenerationstone = heartparticles
Tourmaline = magic runes
Citrine = dusteffect (whirly)
Zircon = waterbubbles
Emerald = northern light
Onyx = chimney smoke
Netherstar = starparticles
Diamond = whirly effect
Perfect Diamond = pulse
Zanite = ligthning

Rainbowtorches are pretty powerful cause of they knockback mobs and deny them access to a 5 block radius around them. So two rainbow torches with adistance of 10 blocks inbetween them are acting like a invisible wall for hostile mobs. Every torch covers a sphere by a 5 block radius so although above and below no access for mobs is possible.
