I was on Craftland the other day, and I saw people chatting about 'Charity Hats'; I thought I would put it on the forums.
Basically, the six weeks surrounding Christmas (three weeks before, three after) people can buy hats that have a theme; that theme is various charities. There should be five hats for five different charities. I am suggesting these:
- Help for Heroes
- St. Barnabas Hospice
- Water Aid
- WWF
- Cancer Research
If you have any other charities, then please leave suggestions below.
Moosh is great at making hats, so if he does it, that would be great (you don't HAVE to if you don't want to, it would just be very helpful!).
Here are some hat ideas for the charities (again, please leave suggestions!):
- Help for Heroes: A soldiers hat (military green) with 'I HELPED H.4.H' written around it (in military style font).
- St. Barnabas: A blue hat (like Top Hat but really tall) with the St. Barnabas Hospice sun on the top. Around the side it should say 'I HELPED S.B.H'.
- Water Aid: A water-blue colour with a slightly darker wave going around the side. Just above the wave, it should say 'I HELPED W.A'
- WWF: A white cap with eyes at the front with black marks around. On the back, it should say 'I HELPED W.W.F'
- Cancer Research: A beanie with the colours (spotty) of the Cancer Research logo (search on Google Images). It could have a 'firework affect' with twisted lines coming off the top. Around the bottom it should say 'I HELPED C.R'
I hope this is added around a six week duration, and I hope that the ideas are possible and not too hard to make. Also, these should be available on the Craftland.org shop and priced at ten euros each (50 credits). There should be a donation button on the site somewhere, in case anyone wants to donate more and be a good egg (you get to choose which charity you donate to through the button).
PLEASE NOTE:
You will only be aloud to donate through real-life currency (euros) and not credits! This is a fundraiser, not an opportunity to get loads of hats through virtual currency!

Here is some information on the five charities:
- Help for Heroes: Everyone at H4H is passionate about helping our heroes, most of us have links to the Services; some have partners, friends or relatives who’ve been injured or have lost a loved one. We take the time to listen and understand what’s needed and do our very best for our heroes every single day. We have a complete open door policy and welcome all of our supporters to visit us or pick up the phone to find out just what a difference your donations are making to the lives of our heroes.
- St. Barnabas: St Barnabas provides specialist palliative and end of life care so that everyone can access and receive the support they need to live well and ease the process of dying. Honouring life by providing treatment, care and comfort to those we serve.
- Water Aid: Between 2009 and 2015 our ambition is that a further 25 million people will have access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation as a direct result of our work; and that by influencing the policies and practices of governments and service providers we will have reached a further 100 million people.
Our four global aims are:
1.To promote and secure poor people's rights and access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation.
2.To support governments and service providers in developing their capacity to deliver safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation.
3.To advocate for the essential role of safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in human development.
4.To further develop as an effective global organisation recognised as a leader in our field and for living our values.
- WWF: WWF's mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. Our vision is to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature.
- Cancer Research: We save lives by preventing, controlling and curing cancer. We are working to beat all 200 cancers and rely completely on donations from people like you.
