As weird as it sounds, find one of those makeup cotton pads, then squash it into a ball, and dip it in vanilla extract.
Vanilla extract does wonders for major tooth pain.

"Manning it out" doesn't work when in the most extreme of agony for the next 48 hours.
That was probably the worst pain I'd ever felt, and I've felt alot of different methods of pain.
