Axes or swords?

I have seen a lot of people ask this: should I use axes or swords? This depends on the gear you already own. If you have full Valkyrie armour, then go for swords. This is because a lot of people use axes because of the Valkyrie axes' extra reach. You get this from the Valkyrie armour, so you do not need that reach (armour reach + axe reach don't add together when you have equipped both D:). Axes have less combat-related enchantments available to them, and swords have them all. This means you can have a diamond sword with max enchants WITH the extra reach from the armour without having to use a Valkyrie axe!

If you aren't going to use Valkyrie armour, and instead use diamond or gravitite, etc. then you will want the axe for it's reach which can save your armour durability = money = resources, and so on.

I myself use a maxed out diamond sword because I have protection 4 and unbreaking 3 Valkyrie armour, so I get the reach and OPness of the two. I hope this answers the question, if it doesn't, please post the question you have below and I will answer it best I can.

No, you only get the valkyrie armour's reach for block placing and breaking, nothing else.

Uuh, if you're reffering to the CraftLand times, that was a poll, not a question.
Also, you can enchant axes with any sword enchant; just not Valkyrie Axes.
Another thing, level 1,000 Axes gives you an extreme crit. strike chance + an also extreme crit. strike damage ratio.

Swords aren't affected by Valk Armor reach.

Reason people use Valk Axes is because they become OP at axes 500+

whats the most crit damage possible?

Well, I have hit as high as 72 hitpoints (31 hearts) with my axe, and I have never reached that with my sword, so I believe axes are stronger than swords are.
