Do you get to keep the iPad after the end of school, or does it get returned? If the cost of tuition includes the purchase of an iPad, then yes it's wrong to restrict its use. However, if your school is only charging to lease the iPads to its students, then it's still school property and the school can restrict use as it sees fit.

My iphone is still on ios 5.1.1 and its jailbroken, and i had all the good features of ios7 before ios6 was out.

Well, I also think IOS7 sucks. I have alot of chances that I cannot upgrade to ios7. Btw, I should ask evasi0n to make jailbreak 1.6.3.

I'm fine with ios7, it's just laggy which is annoying.

Our school has iPads, and we get suspended if we download games, and people do, but they never get caught, so we just have confused teachers and iPads with a ton of uneducational games.
