Some Backstory:
This alien force, called the Grineer, were screwing around with some science. Now, trust me, these guys must be mentally retarded, they are made for fighting, not tinkering. Anyway, their test subjects are another race, known as the Tenno. The Tenno are the only race known that can control the sheer ability of the Warframes, technology of the old Earth. And the Grineer kill them into extinction. Or close. There are a few left, and they escape. Because of this, a war breaks out, knows as the "Old War". Many become good and fight against the Grineer, but there is one, known as the "Stalker" who is a rouge Tenno, never tested on, who fights for the various bosses you defeat. While the Grineer are testing, they turn most of the Tenno, and even some of themselves, into another race - The Infected. After the Tenno escape, they start testing on another, extremely technologically advanced race known as the Corpus, who have invented laser barriers, Moas, and even electric weaponry. They turn these Corpus into Infected as well. Many of the Infected escape and travel to new planets, where they kill everyone. None of them seem to have any idea of their old life, except for one, known as J3-Golem. Golem is one of the bosses you face later in the game. But, in the game, the Grineer have taken over almost the entire Solar System, with the exception of about 4 planets run by Corpus and about 2 run by Infected. You are the remaining Tenno, controlling the power of the Warframes and exterminating the Grineer, the Corpus and the Infected. Now, I know what you're thinking, these Tenno people sound like murderers. You're crazy leader, Lotus, tells you to go to a space ship and kill everyone, and then just leave. But hey, these guys almost killed you all into extinction, so you need to have SOME revenge, right?
That's pretty much the back-story of the game. Great game, really recommend it to everyone who likes Halo or Battlefield 3. Eastwardpanic9, EstonianBro, FearfulSky, ChaoWolfy, and many others already play...Join us!

Edit: I also just got 3 of my personal friends hooked on it, try it out!They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.
The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.
