The Sky Dimension was a planned dimension in Minecraft, intended to be the opposite of the Nether.
In a live webcast on the Swedish gaming site feber.se Notch revealed that the Sky Dimension would "probably be a dream world" and that when "you go to bed there is a certain chance that you get teleported into the dream world instead. Then you will be able to do it on purpose later on."
The
Sky Dimension was originally planned for the Beta 1.8 Adventure Update, but Notch put it on hold till the Nether was more fun.[1]
The original concept of the Sky Dimension was later rebranded as "The End,"[2] a dark place fittingly referred to as the "end of the game," home to the Endermen and the Ender Dragon, and a total conversion of the original idea.
Notch tweeted much later that a different "Skylands" dimension probably was still in the making. This version, completely separate from the End, was set to replace the original idea.[3] However, Jeb later stated that returning the Sky Dimension was not planned and therefore is unlikely to be done.[4][5]
Minecraft update 1.7 includes an Amplified world type, which spawns floating islands similar to that of the unimplemented sky dimension.e.[4][5]

That was when minecraft stopped to be what it is and creativity and free mind died and the game was no longer to be developed at all and became a energy consuming demanding to be fed evil, which consumed thausands of players, coders and made their life suck more then before.
No further replies or response from Soulmusician should be expected on this, but thanks to Nidefawl for holding on to the original spirit and idea of minecraft and for hosting a beautiful server with the actual idea of what it was meant to be and doing it well and holding on to the good defending you folks with his originality.
For all i met her keep in mind that this is the only server defending your personalities against darkness and failure.
Good night ladies and gentlemen.

For me I thought vanilla minecraft died when they kept on adding too many new features. I liked minecraft just to be game I came home after school and sat down and played with my friends.

Agreed. I don't even bother learning all the new things that came after 1.7 or so (which may come to hurt me if Craftland ever updates to these new versions). Once they realize they can't just keep adding and adding to keep players interested or it would get far too complicated I would like to see what they do. I personally thought the anvil Halloween update was a stretch. Came to like that though. 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 are my favorite versions.

About how the updates are becoming meaningless and making the game worse instead of better by leaving out things players actually want added.

Wasn't 1.8 adding tons of things people wanted? Like Slime Blocks and Banners. They listen to fans most of the time, but that doesn't give us a right to push them and call their work pointless. I have always just misunderstood the people that complain about how the new updates are "pointless", while they aren't much more pointless than some of the updates before it's official release. I just kind of go with it, I don't see it as a big deal.
