Upcoming Maps?
Hello there!
First off: I like the server for the comfort the GUI's provide and the sensible composition of mods.
What bothers me though are the maps except for the Aether, which is fine as it is.
Main & New World as well as Greycliff seem so randomly mashed together. Volcano/ash-land biomes right next to snow biomes etc and that bothers me.
Now my question is: Do you plan to open up a new map with more homogeneously arranged biomes in the near future?
Thanks and Regards

Re: Upcoming Maps?
The big part of the 1.7 update in vanilla mine craft was the better arranging of biomes, so deserts didn't spawn next to snow biomes and such.
I know that the last time I spoke with nidefawl, he was working on having the ability to add a 1.7 world.
EDIT: I'd vote to delete old world for a new world, unless nidefawl finishes another thing he's working on, which will bring the ability to have 100's of worlds.

Re: Upcoming Maps?
Thanks for the quick reply! Though "hundreds of worlds" would be overkill for a 64 slot server in my opinion.

Yeah, but when I talked to nide, he was thinking possibly of private worlds for a high donator rank.Pahricida wrote:Thanks for the quick reply! Though "hundreds of worlds" would be overkill for a 64 slot server in my opinion.

Lots of Craftland's creations are located in Oldworld, so perhaps all creations large enough can be copied and pasted into this newest world.Porkkana wrote:NEIN!Chance wrote:I'd vote to delete old world for a new world.

Many problems with that, including but not limited to creations of people who have quit and cannot ask for it to be moved.Lumberlord wrote:Lots of Craftland's creations are located in Oldworld, so perhaps all creations large enough can be copied and pasted into this newest world.Porkkana wrote:NEIN!Chance wrote:I'd vote to delete old world for a new world.
Helper 5/1/15 to 12/25/15.
Please donate rails, stonebricks, and gold ores to the hopper at /warp TheSC. We need many of those in order to build the railroad network in Greycliff.

Re: Upcoming Maps?
Old worlds could be "archived" by only being accessible to long time players. The fewer maps the better imo.

Re: Upcoming Maps?
It would still use the same amount of RAM from the server.Pahricida wrote:Old worlds could be "archived" by only being accessible to long time players. The fewer maps the better imo.
