I don't get what greycliff is. What does it do?

Since there's a thread anyway, might as well ask...
Nick, did you, marc and nide code this yourselves, or was this a world generator created by someone else?
Also, thanks a lot for that map link! I hadn't realized that there was a map uploaded, very cool, thank you

There's a mod called Biomes XL, I think. Nide tweaked it and implemented it. Nick might know more though.

So is it like the aether? With regions/protection zones etc? Curious since i mostly just build ^^

it is biome mod that was coded i can tell had the mod in the past

We use a tweaked World Guard for our regions.
