There are a few LEGAL mods I use, that i wanted to share here for people who don't know about them!

First is Zaneris's Minimap. It gives you a mini map the upper right of your screen, and lets you set way points, etc! Very useful for getting around!

Second is Improved chat. First, it adds a ton of extra chat features, like being able to scroll up chat and cut and paste! Also, as an aded bonus/side effect, you will see yourself getting booted less, if you have any problems with that! Not sure why it does it, but I have seen it work!!

How to install player mods:
1) Open up %appdata%, if you don't know how to do this, start>run, then type in %appdata%
2) Browse to .minecraft/bin
3) Open up minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip.
4) Drag and drop the necessary files into the jar.
5) Delete the META-INF folder in the jar.
6) Run Minecraft, enjoy!
