Server upgrade
Posted: Wed Aug 27, 2014 8:59 am
I'm currently setting up a new, more powerful server for Craftland
Most of the setup work is done by now.
In the next 2 days I will have to shutdown Craftland to complete the migration.
Then the server will be down for several hours to sync the database and worlds
and update the DNS entries.
Nothing will be reset. All worlds, all data will be transferred!
More details soon!
Specs of the new server:
- CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1650v2 (6 Cores, 3.9 GHz)
- Memory: 128 GB RAM
- Harddisk: Hardware RAID LSI 9271-4i Cachevault 1 GB 3x 2 TB SATA3 6Gbps
- Datacenter: Gravelines, France, Hoster is OVH
- Bandwith: 500 Mbit/s Guaranteed
For comparision the old server specs:
- CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1245 (4 Cores, 3.30 GHz)
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Harddisk: Software RAID 1 with 2x 3TB Hard Disks
- Datacenter: Falkenstein, Germany, Hoster is Hetzner
- Bandwith: 200 Mbit/s Guaranteed
