Can't connect to minecraft.net

When ever i try to download the files for the launcher the bar goes a certain amount (different every time) and stops. Then it says " Can not connect to minecraft.net. I have tried launching it countless times, i have even tried some of the tips you give. Nothing seems to work. Thanks for the help in advanced.

You should always cheek
help.mojang.com to ensure the servers aren't broken

I have the same problem as ChelszYo. Everything is fine with the servers, and i've been trying to connect for at LEAST a month. There's nothing wrong with my internet. I don't know what to do... i haven't been on for months...
