Test Server

I remember way back when that there was a test server or something. What became of it? Is it still a thing? Did it ever even exist?

I think this is a Staff-only thing at this Point, or only with really close Friends.
It's not a public thing afaik.
The Test server usually went on when there was problems with the Server and it had to be shutdown and People who were on the Teamspeak wanted to do something.
Not sure if that changed though.

The Test Server from what I knew was suppose to be there for testing purposes, but players thought they could just go there and play as if it was a normal server to play on. There is still a test server just more protected. If you were ever invited to it you would then know how to get on.

Ok. Lets just imagine for a moment there was no test servers. That means everything we did wouldnt be able to be tested before it went onto the live server. So if we made some small logic error, or caused something to create a runtime error, then we wouldnt know until it was on the live server. And for someone like me, who since im still a beginner, sometimes doesnt notice these types of errors in the code until I actually test them myself.
So the test servers allow the coders to test things before they are put on the live server, minimising the amount of bugs and errors on the live server.

Test server is no longer public because of children. Literally.
Everyone would log on, and just Fuck around after giving themselves admin; not actually do any testing or anything productive.

If requested for actual testing is this still possible to get into or no? (just wondering I use private worlds for it now xD)

If testers are needed, staff now does the testing, or selects players to do it.
