It doesn't seem like item frames are outputting a redstone signal. Can someone explain? Could it be fixed?
It's incredibly annoying to build around :(

Why would item frames output a redstone signal?

this server doesn't have all the 1.8 features, so that's probably not in.
And how is it annoying to build around it? what did you do before 1.8 update came? X3

Vanilla? People play that????

Anyways, +1 to that simply because it opens doors to more creativity. :)

It solves a very real problem of having a "lever" with different states. It should output a signal with strength 1-8 depending on rotation, meaning you can use it to conroll a system with 8 stages with only one control.

My current usecase is a compact dynamic enchanting station, where each rotation enables 2 bookshelves.
