It takes forever to load then says "connection timed out"

when I try to start up my craft land it says checking for new launcher vertion, about 5 mins later it is still on 0% then a pop up comes and says "can't load vertions.txt" and "connection timed out:connect.
plz help I realy want to play on the server.

I think he means version
Try to delete all the .craftland folder and to download the launcher again

sometimes only a restart of the launcher is enough

i've re-downloaded the launcher like 5 times and it hasn't helped + the version i'm playing is 2.8, well the recent update was. playing on laptop till I can fix it.

have you also tried deleting the .craftland folder?
Its a connection problem, so maybe your protection software blocks the connection or you are not connected to the internet.
