/spawn = death

I was wondering that how i could get back to the big tree and the area where you spawn when you start playing at Craftland.
xxmasal22xx told me that i might get back there by typing /spawn or /warp newspawn and i wrote the /spawn to the text line and spawned in the middle of DIRT and in few seconds i died having full diamond armor, agility cape and stuff in my inventory.
I was wondering that if you could fix the /spawn command and possibly do something about my lost armor
