I was in Greycliff, mining blocks and collecting plants, when I randomly keeled over and died. There was no death chest, even though I didn't have the max allowed. I didn't have enough money to get back, so I lost all of the gravitite and diamonds I had because of some stupid glitch where you randomly keel over and die in Greycliff. This happened to me once before, when I returned, the same thing happened. I simply died without a cause. It's really frustrating, and I want either an explanation or a fix.

Did you die instantly, or did your health gradually deplete until you died?

Some things that come to mind:

1. You didn't eat, so your hunger depleted, then your health depleted, and finally you died.
2. Server lag. This has happened to me once or twice where I get trapped in a block I've previously broken. Logging out and logging in fixes the problem.
3. Were there any mobs around? Higher level Zombies can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
4. The great Craftland spirit in the sky smote you.

I think it was server lag, my hunger was full, and all ten hearts of my health vanished instantly while I was wearing gravitite armor.

Were you mining/digging at the time you died?

But you don't die instantly if you suffocate due to server lag. Also you may not have got your death chest because of a region?

You might of been lagging then a creeper exploded Creepers have have high levels can 1 hit you

It happened AGAIN in the end! Both times it cost me my EXPENSIVE full set of gravitite armor! Both times was I not financially sufficient to pay the steep price it costs to return! Both times I came back several times and died on all but one of them! Both times did I manage to find the location I died at after the toil it took to evade the extremely strong enemies attacking me, unarmed with no armor, only to find there was no death chest! Both times the infuriating grasp of rage extended its invisible tendrils around me and crushed me until I could stand it no more!
