Name Changed on minecraft.net, account problems

I recently changed my account name on minecraft.net and it has messed up my account. I can no longer change my skin and it seems like my name hasn't changed in game but it has changed on the launcher. Another point is that I want to donate but I don't know if there might be a problem, maybe it won't work but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with my problem.

This problem is making me want to smash my face against a wall (as shown below)
