Crashing frequently on Windows 10

Post by Lux » Sat Nov 08, 2014 8:29 pm

Craftland tends to crash A LOT on Windows 10, also, there are no crash logs. Maybe you guys have an idea why?

That's.... about it...

Like Microsoft has said, Windows 10 is in beta and unless you really know what your doing. If you want logs you can start Craftland through command line.

Yeah, but... Windows 10 is very much like Windows 8 and 8.1. Programs that work on Windows 8.1, should work on Windows 10 too, they said. Which they do flawlessly, except of Craftland.

The problem most likely comes from your drivers or lwjgl. It doesn't crash for me, and if it did, there's not much we could do about it.

It seems to be fixed now. I guess it was something in the area that I was building in, which caused my game to crash, or because the server was so laggy here the past few days. Who knows....

First of all, update your video drivers to the newest version. Its most likely they cause JVM crashes.

If it crashes without a log there is a hserrxxxx.log file on your desktop or whereever your craftland.exe is located.
Those files help me telling you what caused it.
If its a video driver bug only a driver update can fix it.

I guess you are running an Intel Graphics card. Nvidia/AMD most likely has newer drivers than the ones you are running
