Hey there fellow craftlanders. A few years back i was a daily craftland player. since then i havent played but have decided to get back into it starting yesterday. One of the things i did years ago was make my own single player client so i could play craftland mods on my own and not worry about restrictions. It was quite phenominal. But now im having a hard time re creating it on my own, so heres my suggestion.
I do think it would be a great addition to have a single player client as well as the multiplayert server option, this way players can make thier own creations without having to worry about regions, or griefing, or anything else for that matter. have all the options of craftland, with all the worlds, the mobs, items. Everything that makes the craftland experience so great
Also this would let players add in some of thier other favorite mods, such as optifine, divine rpg, mo creatures, etc etc.
I really would like to see something like this in the future, however far away it may be.

This has been suggested many times before and i'm going to say the same thing that has been said before, no. A lot of the features are built around the server in single player none of the commands, world generation or many of the other craftland features work. Craftland isn't a mod pack, its a server.

Firstly, optifine is already in craftland, secondly it's next to impossible to mod, we don't use anything like forge mod loader, and if you tried a bass class edit or to install forge mod loader it would certainly fail due the number of changed we have made and out custom obfuscation.
All of our time is devoted to the server, we have no intentions of making craftland its own stand alone mod pack.

I could write 10 pages why this isn't possible or why I'm not willing to put that amount of work in.
I put it short: Making craftland singleplayer and compatible with vanilla 1.8 forge mods would probably take me 3 month of work.
In the meantime you don't get any updates on craftland. I will not be able to put any time into any of my other hobby projects.
I will not only be a hell lot of work, it will also destroy a lot of the optimizations and features we added to craftland over the last 3 years.
I why would do all of this? Because 3 people asked on the forums?
The reason craftland is still alive and in the shape it is, is because we decided against singleplayer, we decided against forge, modloader, vanilla compatibilty.
If you want craftland to get the average modpack out there that takes 10 minutes to load up then crashes on first sight of a sheep: Go and play one of the fantastic forge 100+ mods modpacks. I don't want this for my craftland
