GUI Notepad

This post is intended to supplement the feature request I posted on the bug tracker.
I think this would be a great feature to add to the already awesome GUI without having to use a third-party notepad or messy paper notes that I personally tend to lose. Benefits of this would include allowing players to create to-do lists, save mining world coordinates, as well as other important information. Tabs for separate documents/sections would be a nice addition as well.
Please feel free to share thoughts about this idea.

Kind of like a book and quill? would you wanted it to be synced on the server or just saved on your computer? Would you want it to be an item or just part of the UI?

In my opinion, a GUI "note page" would be amazing. Perfect for passwords, warps and building dimensions. Here is the layout of it in my minds eye if I were to design it. It would not be a thing only opened when you click it. It opens on the "U" menu default. It has a tab with you most recent reminder on it, making sure it is seen. To go to the menu of reminders, you hit the "_____" button (I don't know what you would call it). It shows a thing of all of you reminders, perhaps titled. Features could be improved from this model to be more efficient and easier to code.

Having it like the book and quill would be a bit redundant. I wouldn't want it to be an item. As I stated in the Subject line, it would be a UI accessible feature perhaps available directly via a hotkey that could be customized. How it is saved would be a matter of convenience to the developers and dependent on server resources. Either way, I'd like to see the ability to be able to keep the documents saved in some form and accessible in-game at any time.

A book and quill can be lost quite easily and can't be edited once signed...

How to do this is to have a Smartphone item. View your past PMs, check shops, view the map, write a memo, write in chats and PMs, and view minigame/staff event statuses. (+ other things I forgot)

Similarly, I would say.

I like your thinking Joy. They should be free. Perhaps if you lose it, there would be a kit. Small problem. How do you code it.

When you right click with it, it comes up on the center of the screen, a homescreen with all the apps shows on the phone. Then you can do whatever you want.
