So I was considering something: I like hats. I also like having full armor on.
In this case, I asked myself: "What if I could combine a helmet and a hat through an anvil or something like that?"

Pretty much, just have the ability to combine hats and helmets via anvils.

Put the hat in the special armor slot.

You can still put up to two hats on via custom slots 1 and 2
