I like this suggestion maybe the Aether border can be extended 1000 more blocks out and have these dungeons spawn and make that part of the aether look corrupted with biomes that look corrupted and everything gone evil like Killer Aer whales, Zephers which shoots Explosive snowballs with greater knockback, Aer bunnies that look cute at first but if you get too close to them they will jump onto ur head just like Swets do and damage you, And a higher spawn rate of Cocatrices and add new kind of mobs everywhere.

Zephers - Or just add the tempest from the normal aether mod that shoots down lightning :P

Honestly not all of the idea is bad. I personally still dont like the idea of the ruby stuff but the other stuff is interesting.
