I feel that Perfect diamond is so weak.
I have a new idea for a Ore.
Carbon if compressed IRL is stronger than diamond.
1% of the time you smelt wood logs you'd get 1 piece of carbon.
to make the armor you'd need carbon fiber.
To make carbon fiber it would be a 4 x 4 in a crafting bench of carbon.
After you had carbon fiber you just craft the armor like normal.
Durability: 1000
This could be around x2 stronger than Perfect diamond or 2x stronger than normal diamond.
If you make this please no weapons.
Also the only way to repair it would be to use carbon fiber.

maybe if you put it into a crafting table it gives you "fossil fuels" and you can power a furnace for a crazy amount of time.

Perfect Diamond is currently the strongest equipment in the game. Leaving it up to chance to be taken from Logs, possibly the easiest renewable source in the game, is kind of strange. Maybe the Carbon is fine, but it should also need a Perfect Diamond to continue to work your way up if another tier will even be added. If stronger tools were to even be added, some more strong things would have to be added to really possibly compensate.

I agree with Dakota, this is way too easy to get. One of the reasons the mining world resets, is so coders can add new ores, for a limited time only, or not. There may be a few things coming soon.

Not to mention, even if no weapons are made from it, people will still use that Axe skill from McMMO.

If we are even going to stay near science, it needs to be from something living (fossil block or something). Fossil fuels come from dead organisms, which is why he recommended wood. Maybe a new type of tree in a swamp? like a "dead tree" or maybe a new block under ground at a certain depth like shale.
