Craftland.org

I would like for Craftland to have a new world with new stuff like the rocks in my "New Rocks" suggestion I made earlier. This world has all of Greycliff's features along with some more features such as new rocks and 1.7 biomes. I have many pictures and info about what this world could be like. Here are some pictures of new ores and rocks in the world.


This is marble in the ground. It can be found below level 36. You might have noticed granite in this picture. Yes, the 1.8 rocks generate in this world!


This is netherstone forming next to lava. Netherstone is found below level 20 and is only found near lava.


This is quartzite in the ground. Quartzite can be found below level 26.


Yes, this is basalt in the ground. It can be found below level 21. Basalt can be found next to coal ore commonly.


This is limestone in the ground. It is found commonly under watery biomes like oceans. It can be found below level 60 and above level 48.


This is chert in the ground. This rock is commonly found near dirt either on the surface or underground. Chert can be found above layer 19 and below layer 81.


This is shale in the ground. Shale is found below layer 11.


This is black marble in the ground. This is a very rare rock that is always found when shale (Or basalt) and marble meet together. You can find this in the ground very rarely. It is recommended to just craft this rock.


This is copper ore and all the items with it. Copper ore is found in chert and can be mined with a stone pickaxe or better. Copper ore does not drop itself, it drops copper dust which can be smelted into a copper ingot to craft the items. The copper tools are better than stone but not as good as iron and can mine up to iron ore.


This is platinum ore. It can only be found in quartzite, making it rarer than gold. Platinum ore can be smelted into platinum ingots which can be crafted into a precious block.


You might have guessed it. This is perfect diamond ore. This is 20 times rarer than diamond and only generates in basalt. Perfect diamonds drop from this ore.

Also, there are not only ores, there is something heavenly in this suggestion. The aether has come on earth!


This is a mini aether island in the new world. It contains a skyroot tree, a random heavenly animal, and the aether ores. However, there is still one more to be revealed.


That is continuum ore! If you right-click the continuum orb given from the ore, you will get a random item!

Hei camyoshi i like your idea and i woul love to build with you in this world.

But:

We need to have a sheet like you did and if we wanna talk to Nide about a new world, we need a couple of things he might want to look into and is willing to consider.
At all our biggest problem is still that we are more a shrinking community and not growing project as we actually should be. So we really would although need the help of dedicated players like you and others to figure out how we can have a growth to a next level like 100 active players. Cause of it looks like we are doing something wrong. We really need to find this problem isolate it and start activities which bring us into a state of growth again.

For your idea of a new world:

First i don´t think this will happen this year (so please stay with me on hold on to it)
Next we need a table of everything the world should contain, like blocks and their description.
Then we need like you did previews for the blocks, crafting recipies, items, etc.
We should althoug try to have new trees and plants in there, but for this i guess we need the OK from mod developers who actually have this already in their mods, so that we can use it for our modpack.
The next would be at least a couple of interesting new mobs.

But honestly before i would look into it right now I would rather brainstorm if I start learning java for minecraft and start coding a modification myself with trees, biomes, etc. which I would give Nidefawl the exclusive terms of use with all features and only make a smaller version for the whole community.

Maybe you wanna consider making a modification for us or work onto projects like helping us grow.

If you need somebody to talk to about your thoughts hopes and feelings, my advice is to talk to people like chance, moosh, Jaylee, Sleepy, Arbr, Gzer, and other community related people or teamspeak folks.
Those people can channel all the ideas and present them to the coders i a way which could work cause of the coders themselves are working on 38 projects for craftland at the moment. They are not open for new stuff if there is no playerbase behind it which would be willing to carry on and take it to a higher level. For this we need to have plans and those people i mentioned before spend incredible amounts of time in teamspeak talking to the coders. They can bounce of your ideas and bring them to discussion.

The other way of course would be to join us in teamspeak and stay with us and interact with us, nobody is gonna hurt you and we are glad if we can hear whats going on and what players think and feel by gaming on our all together fantasy world craftland. This could even show us that you are pointing out something really important and that you can improve craftland in a way we cannot and achieve things we are not able to.

You are an old player as so many and your ideas and contribution is highly appreciated of course! We hope we can setup a way to transfer information better and stay way more in contact with all of you.

PS: I love the perfect diamond texture, good job hopefully we can find those in the future. If it comes to stone i am always up to it.

I was thinking of some kind of moon, a smaller world (8000x8000 or less), without oxygen, life, etc.

This looks like something everyone would enjoy, but, I would say there's a low chance nide will actually add this.

*cough* the mining world regens every 2 weeks. We can change it for special events at any time, add new stuff for only a few weeks, can add new stuff forever etc. *cough*

Soul, thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay in responding. I was talking with my dad about how we can get more active players on Craftland, and he said we could try marketing more. He thought it might make sense to run a Google Adwords PPC campaign to try and capture searches such as "minecraft server". He said he would be willing to run a campaign for $50 or $100 as a test. If it results in more users, it might make sense for Nidefawl to keep it going. Do you think there would be any problem with us trying this? Or if Nidefawl already has a Google Adwords account, we could just donate so that he could run a campaign.

I think you should talk to nidefawl directly about this.
