Blood Moon
I think this plugin called Blood Moon should be added to the current game http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/bloodmoon/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Every time the moon comes out there's a rare chance for the Blood Moon, When the Blood Moon is out mobs become stronger and Nether mobs spawn in the over world.
