Allow /home in hardcore mode

If my house is at x: 750 and Z: 750, I would have to walk 750 blocks to get back to my house every time I left the world. This is at often times impossible due to the leveled mobs. I cannot have a house close to the spawn due to griefing enabled.
It would be very handy if I could use /home, as it would save my location. I believe the concept of hardcore mode is to fight and survive, but not be entrapped in a situation where if you leave, you lose whatever you have built in the world.
Lots of hardcore servers enable this due to players not having to restart their game entirely if they leave.

I have mixed feelings about /home on hardcore mainly due to it acting similar to as a private warp. I agree about possibly making it so that if you die on hardcore and you slept in a bed within your house that it will teleport you there but using /home to get back im not sure about.
Personally I'm not going to use hardcore mode mainly due to not liking pvp but I would think it should be similar playing style to hardcore mode on a vanilla minecraft map where you dont have commands to teleport you back home but you do spawn at home if you slepted in a bed.
Maybe if ./home was added that you wouldnt be able to use ./home till 20minutes after you used it the first time (only in hardcore world) but idk

How about this. Sleeping in a bed, sets your home point. When you want to return there, it "costs" hunger and/or health depending on the distance. The bed could also only have a certain amount of uses, after which are used, the bed "breaks". When a bed is broken by a player, it removes your home point. Also, when sleeping in a bed, when you leave and rejoin the world, you go back to there.

That would work out perfectly.
