Convert votepoints into shop credits?

Converting votepoints into shop credits would be a great way to increase the amount of votes craftland gets, it is quite obvious that most craftland players are crazy about the hats. I often make jokes about it becoming Craft Fortress 2...

I dont know what the conversion rates would be...

And right now, the voteshop is in my opinion quite outdated and bland, while the relatively new hats are great and fun aesthetic items.

What do you guys think? :cheesy:

While many old players would say no, I'm saying yes. There is (almost) no harm to this: hats are purely cosmetic items and do not help you in any way in the game (other than getting coins by selling them to players).

no lol cause people pay money (ingame or real) for credits and that could make nides cash flow from shop credits go way down

+1 talk to Nide about that idea! That way the NPCs in game can trade all items aswell as all items (voteshop & shop) are available on the website.

The NPCs may be scattered all over the Spawn and little minigames may be done to find the rarest like jump and runs with 7 to 20 blocks. I would even think to battle through a bunch of mobs to reach some like in a minidungeon cave.
For people who dont like that, they may go for the shop on the website, where although all items are available. Of course you need a lot more votes for hats as like for clouds i suggest with some sort of differentiation according to the hat. That way Nide could achieve more votes by making offers and still get money for expensive items (special hats) to ensure the server keeps up and running. The drive of this would be constant new content as we already got. For all hatmakers, their hats would be a loveley donation in the way others would spend a bit money to get ehm. For the hatmakers may be possibly some sort exchange in votecredits (whatever you wanna call them) a thing. The new content would come automatically and everybody like Nide, Community and Hatmakers would get a plus.

Lets go fishing ;)

I don't like the idea because it gives Premium Players even more extra perks.

I like it, but some players would get a lot of items with it. Nide could just possibly add a hat section to the voteshop anyways. Hats you can't get at the regular store.

Well I've sold my votepoints for about half a year now already and not once have I heard a complain about it. Converting them to shop credits would practically be the same. Assuming my rates one shop credit would be four votepoints, I see no harm in that as almost none of the items in the credit shop actually provide any use except of being aesthetic.

I asked nide when he was in game, he +1d the idea.

Hopefully it will be implemented soon. Of course we need to think about the conversion rates to make sure there are no problems such as the ones you guys have mentioned.

If so, I think the conversion should depend on how many votepoints you get when you vote. So, let's say that nide wanted to add 1 votepoints = 1 credit. Then, for Premium V players, it should be 4 votepoints = 1 credit. The only thing that happens if you do it any other way is making the server more pay-2-play kinda.
