Update the Maps

Last time the website's maps were updated:
October 28th, 2013

Since then nothing has changed on the map, anything built since them has not appeared to change.

By the way, referring to this map, not ingame: http://craftland.org/#map

Would be very helpful if you could update these maps so that things built since them appear.

Nide did have a cron job running updating the maps on a schudial, but it was too intense for the server for him to update them regularly.

How about just updating them once every 6 months or so?

If not, how about updating them soon and updating them again next time there is a need to do so?

I agree with Tog, I'd really love to see some of the buildings as of recently on the "live" map. And yeah updating them like once a month should be okay (or every time nide is updating the server and it's downtime anyway)

Would be better if he used Dynmap instead, then he wouldn't have to update the maps every now and then.

Yea, dynmap is great. I once played on a server which used it. It allows you to talk to people while looking at the map. That eliminates the need for Mibbit chat. however, I wonder if there may be technical issues involving this.

nide is useing pig map right now if I remember correctly. In terms of the server it's much better than dynamo because it's processes the tiles separately from the minecraft process.
