My suggestion is that if you use /return, you'd be tomporarily invincible so you can get your stuff easier.
It would make sense that you can't hurt mobs or players during that time

I agree on this since most of the time when you die you go back to die again.
Or at least have a resistance/fire resistance buff.

How about pvp?
You run into the arena again and kill you will get.

So you will have to be in f5 mode to know when it expires, should make a counter on screen for it too.
How long would this actually be active? 5 secs, 10 secs or even 30 secs?
On the side note, these are just some questions to work the idea a bit further out, not that you all may think that I'm against it.

I'd reckon 5 seconds would be a decent number - Enough time for the world to load in and quickly pickup you're stuff, mabye find your sword.

Agreed. 5 seconds is a decent amount of time, maybe 10 if we see it's a bit too short.

how about you temp invincible and you temp cant do damage to balance it out
