In game communitys?

idk how it would exactly work but ive seen it on soem servers, but kinda like a town with a mayor and what not
I think it would be kinda cool

There were plans on getting a mod like towns or towny into the server. For some part it is, but not finished yet.
Also if you may have noticed, most players build on great projects on there own, so i doubt if there is a lot of interest in this.
But on the other side, it could be a nice addition/experience to have some towns where players help each other and especialy new players to get started and a nice place that isn't griefed or looks like it, and have a nice base to start.

You can always try to make your own community.
But in my experience: these will not last long.
Why: they will leave and start stuff on there own.

This is true. People will leave other Towns/Communities to make one by them self, where they make the rules. No one likes to be led for too long without a turn of their own.
