Well let me start off by saying that emeralds are basically useless and can only be used for blocks which is then used for decoration...but wouldn't it be cool if we had emerald tools?
Maybe they could have some special ability and all, more durability, mine faster, idk just some ideas...
Hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to code in but again idk
i just think this would be rly cool to have since emeralds are "basically" useless

Might be nice.Theres not a massive point to add them, other than that they might look cool and be fast. Still, I like them.

Also, i think that we need to add a use for emeralds, other then beacons.

Villager trading is my primary use for them right now.

My ideas:

Emerald Tools: 1040 uses (2/3 the amount of uses of diamond tools, since emeralds irl are more fragile than diamonds)
Emerald tools would be at about the speed of iron and zanite pickaxes: But are good for mining both Aether blocks and Regular blocks.

Emerald Sword: 1561 uses (Same as Diamond)
Same amount of damage as diamond sword, but swings faster. (Similar to the axe effect)

Just my ideas, feel free to criticize.

Yes, yes, YES. I really like this idea; even with the reduction in durability, it's still really nice to have.

I think it would also be cool if they had extended reach like valkyrie, so its like the Valkyrie of teh over world...just some suggestion but i think this is an innovative way to make ~good use of emeralds
