Value of Life Shards

As you may or may not know, when you die on the server, you lose one heart. So for example, if you had 12 hearts, you now have 11.
However, let's take a look at how hard it is to get another heart versus losing it.
To Gain a heart: -Find a gold dungeon.
-Beat the dungeon.
-There is about a 22% probability of the gold dungeon having a life shard.
-To get the max of 20 hearts, you have to do the gold dungeons at least 10 times. However, since the probability
of getting a life shard is not very high, you will have to do the dungeon much more than 10 times.
To lose a heart: Die.
This is very unbalanced, and sometimes outright unfair. It is very easy to die by accident, all of a sudden. Also, if someone wants to do a dungeon over and over again until they succeed, they might have to go to extreme measures to do this, all to save a heart.
What I propose doing:
Instead of losing a heart every time you die, I suggest that you lose a heart every 5 or 10 times you die. This leaves a small margin for error, and allows much more flexibility.
Why I propose doing this:
The ratio of how hard it is to gain a heart vs how easy it is to die is at a sharp contrast, and sometimes is not very fair.
Thank you for your time.
