Rank settings for shop chests
Thought it would be a cool idea to have the ability to set a shop chest so only new players or vips can buy from, so you can make a starter player shop with starter gears for a cheap price and not have older players buy all the stuff on you.

Re: Rank settings for shop chests
I feel this could be a cool thing, but it could easily be defeated with alt accounts.The_Repairman wrote:Thought it would be a cool idea to have the ability to set a shop chest so only new players or vips can buy from, so you can make a starter player shop with starter gears for a cheap price and not have older players buy all the stuff on you.
What was your intention with this? Just providing cheep items for new players, or do you just want to limit it to advanced players can't buy a bulk amount of items at a cheep price?
Would adding an option to impose a purchase limit for every player buying from a shop chest be a fix for this?

I wanted to make a Starter shop with cheap items like for example: New player shops would have a new item in it every day for 60% off price something they can afford with the 2k starting money and a decent armor set with tools to help the new players out a bit.
EDIT: Without the older players taking advantage of a Noob shop.

Re: Rank settings for shop chests
Personally i think limit the amount of items a player could buy could also be defeated by alts!? some have a lot and some have none alt account. and if i put something in a shop chest i dont care who buys it and how much of it? that is why i am selling items
I do not think its a good idea either to set cheap prices for new comers. For me personally if you can get stuff to easy it takes out the fun to work as most efficient as you can. I started getting money by selling stacks of diamond in order to afford good gear as valk armor etc. I think the server shop is really nice to get money for new comers. if you sell one stack you got around 25-30k which is already not that bad.
And at the moment you can get iron armor a complete set for around 500 coins (even cheaper) and a diamond pickaxe aroune 1.5k so with 2k you are good to go as an apprentice to mine? Thats cheap
I get what you mean jay you wanna help out and i think the idea is good but i wouldnt do it via the economy.
What about this:
different sets that players can buy from the server as long as they are apprentice (or maybe an play time limit as some could be mentored)
i did not think a lot about the sets but something like this
Set 1: Iron Sword, Iron Pickaxe, iron Axe, Full set armor Iron, 1*Stack torches -> 1k
Set 2: same all zanite -> 1.5k
Set 3:same all diamond 5k
